Meet Tylos
WASP-121 b, also called Tylos, is a gas giant with a much larger radius than Jupiter. It circles its star in roughly 1.3 days. Strong heating and the close orbit make this a very different world from the gas giants in our Solar System.

Values are rounded from published catalogue measurements. Sky coordinates identify the host system, not a resolved planetary surface.
WASP-121 b, also called Tylos, is a gas giant with a much larger radius than Jupiter. It circles its star in roughly 1.3 days. Strong heating and the close orbit make this a very different world from the gas giants in our Solar System.
The host star lies in Puppis, approximately 880 light-years away. Its catalogue classifies the star as F-type. Distances and physical values are rounded here; published measurements can change as astronomers refine their models.
Spectroscopic observations reveal an atmosphere affected by extreme heat, with different conditions across the day and night sides. The close star can also distort the planet’s shape. The scale and appearance of atmospheric features depend on interpretation of those observations.
The reconstruction uses intense warm illumination and atmospheric bands to convey an ultra-hot giant. Colour, visible cloud detail and the viewing angle are illustrative. A nearby stellar light source expresses heating; it is not a literal photograph of the system.
The NASA catalogue records a 2016 transit discovery. A transit dims a star slightly as a planet crosses its face. Repeated events constrain the orbital period and allow astronomers to investigate light passing through the atmosphere.
Your personalised planet poster retains Tylos’s astronomical designation and selected facts. Add a recipient, custom message and date to make it a meaningful object for the wall, rather than a claim to interstellar real estate.
